| ADSL | splitterless ADSL? | What is does splitterless mean? | Early versions of ADSL required a splitter (not to be confused with a filter) which plugged into the original socket and converted the inbound DIGITAL DATA into ONE analog telephone socket and ONE data socket. G.Lite and ADSL use in the UK does not use this DIGITAL ENCODING, so a splitter is not required. In Summary - ALL UK ADSL is G.Lite/Splitterless You may need a filter however if you are using a telephone on the same line! More info |
